Creative Approach
At the project kick-off, Explorer's creative team crafted bespoke design concepts to establish the magazine's distinctive look and feel. While all issues followed a consistent template, specific elements were adapted to align with the unique content of each edition. Colour-coded sections provided a clear and intuitive structure, enabling readers to easily navigate the publication. Beyond text layout, Explorer's photographers captured original images for the two profiles featured in each issue, adding a personal and authentic touch. Meanwhile, our graphic designers developed custom graphics and illustrations, effectively translating complex scientific concepts into engaging visuals suitable for young readers.
Editorial Strategy
For each issue of Innovation@UAE, Explorer’s English editorial team transformed client-provided content, simplifying dense academic material into clear, engaging prose for a general audience while maintaining scientific accuracy. The Arabic translation process was particularly meticulous, addressing specialised scientific terminology such as research project names and complex phenomena. Explorer’s Arabic editorial team ensured technical precision and cultural resonance, conducting thorough research to align translations with regional standards.
