Explorer’s award-winning photography team shot the captivating imagery for this book. Focusing on the intricate details and ideal illumination of Sharjah’s stunning heritage and modern buildings, glimpsed from little-known vantage points, enabled us to showcase the city in a breathtaking new light. The images were presented thoughtfully in a clean and contemporary design, with luxurious print specifications creating a prestigious tribute to this cultural capital.
Editorial Strategy
Explorer’s editorial team reviewed Sharjah’s hidden gems and architectural assets and categorised them into chapters focusing on different building styles and features. The editorial style is at once poetic and informative, guiding the reader on a picturesque journey through Arabesque traditions, religious architectural features, UAE heritage and more. The content is based on thorough research, including authoritative classical architecture sources, coupled with interviews with architects, local academics and developers.
