Barbershops are dotted throughout the city (some offer cuts for less than Dhs.10), with most malls and some hotels also having excellent options. For men in search of something more than a simple chop then male spas can generally offer a greater breadth of options. Male grooming is a lot more prominent in the UAE than some expats are used to, with barbershops often offering a longer list of services than a simple wash and cut. Shaves, beard trimming and even waxing are regularly on the menu, and even with a simple haircut you'll be likely to experience some different techniques to hairdressers back home, which can actually be a good thing.
