Summer Camps

Soaring temperatures that have everyone cooped up indoors can make summer a challenging time to entertain the kids. To help keep boredom at bay, various organisations throughout Abu Dhabi run summer camps during the hottest months, while several nurseries also offer summer day care for young children. While many activities will be inside air-conditioned buildings there are plenty that will have your little ones getting a good dose of healthy fresh air.

Plan ahead
It’s best to do your research, plan ahead and book early, as the most sought after spots will fill up quickly. Be sure to contact closer to the time and find out if the activities are age appropriate to your child beforehand, and if there are any other restrictions you might need to know about.

Keep your eyes open nearer to the onset of summer as a lot of the hotels and malls realise the need for help with kids during this time. The likes of Shangri-La Hotel and Millennium Hotel have held summer camps previously, and you'll often find they're put on with certain themes, meaning one year can be quite different from the next to keep things interesting.
