They may be a euro or two an hour more expensive but the cleaners are then guaranteed health insurance and a pension and you have one less headache. The paperwork coupled with hiring someone yourself negates the time advantage they would give you. Also beware when looking for someone out of the paper – many maids offer extra, ahem, services, so the ads advertising kein sex, or no sex, are the serious ones.
