Hague Adoption Convention
You are advised to go through the Hague Adoption Convention, an internationally recognised process. You’ll be required to provide a file of essential documents, undergo a police check, and complete a 12 hour home-study programme – which involves psychological analysis and parental preparation. After a home visit and final interview, you will receive ‘approval’, and your home study file can be handed over to any international adoption agency recognised by the UAE, and your name added to their adoption list. It is then a matter of waiting for the phone to ring.
