Living without a car is feasible in Wilmersdorf, but not in Grunewald. The S-Bahn and the U3, 7 and 9 lines run through Wilmersdorf, enabling easy access to the rest of Berlin. Grunewald, however, is a bit off the public transport grid, served by the S7 but not by any U lines. Both areas are convenient for driving: the A100 motorway runs through Wilmersdorf and the A115 through Grunewald.
