Obtaining A Clearance Certificate
In order to prove to your landlord that you have settled your DEWA account before moving out – or if you are looking to sell your own property – you need to obtain a clearance certificate from DEWA. This procedure is fairly straightforward, and you can obtain the document the same day you disconnect your service.
Prerequisites
- The water and electricity supply has been disconnected.
- The final bill has been paid.
What to bring
- Tenancy contract
- Passport with residence visa
- Resident ID card
Procedure
- Submit the final bill receipt
- Collect service charge slip
- Pay service charge
- Present service charge receipt and collect clearance certificate.
- Request Customer Clearance Certificate online.
- Pay the Dhs.50 fee and on approval you will receive the certificate by email or SMS.
