Summer Camps

Soaring temperatures that have everyone cooped up indoors can make summer a challenging time to entertain the kids, especially with up to 10 weeks of school holidays to fill. To help keep boredom at bay, various organisations throughout Dubai run summer camps, while several nurseries also offer summer day-care for young children. Just be sure to plan ahead, as the most sought after spots book up quickly.

Summer fun
While many activities will be inside air-conditioned buildings there are plenty that will have your little ones getting a good dose of fresh air. Most language schools run summer courses for kids and many leisure clubs offer summer camps that focus on sports, arts and crafts. Alternatively, contact Active Sports Academy, which arranges sporty summer camps at various venues around the city. Another option is to sign them up for sailing lessons – if there’s a breeze, then being out on the water can be significantly cooler than on land, and that way, they’re still getting some fresh air. Clubs such
as Dubai Offshore Sailing Club run dinghy sailing courses for kids.
