Transportation

Tokyo’s public transport system is incredibly efficient, reliable and punctual. For this reason, most residents travel by metro, train,  bus, or bicycle. Taxis are expensive. Scooters are popular for travelling short distances and for commuting to and from work. Cars on the other hand can be expensive and frustrating to run, with high petrol costs, heavy traffic, expensive toll roads and traffic lights every 50 metres but then again, you have the freedom to go where you want, when you want, and there’s nothing like jumping in a car and hitting the road to escape the city on the weekend.
