Transport

The area around Zoo Station is well connected to much of Berlin, and the S-Bahn that cuts through Charlottenburg offers convenient east-west transport. Two U-Bahn lines serve Charlottenburg: the U7, useful for connections to Wilmersdorf, Schöneberg and Kreuzberg; and the U2, much maligned as Berlin’s slowest U-Bahn line. Driving, cycling or parking on the Ku’damm, which is often clogged with both city and tour buses, can be quite unpleasant. In general, parking is not bad.
