Accommodation
The spectrum of accommodation in Steglitz is unusually broad. You can find everything here, from comfortable single-family homes to concrete-block 1960s housing projects. As one might expect with such a range, prices vary widely. Overall, home purchase prices and rents are higher than average for Berlin, but lower than in neighbouring Zehlendorf and Dahlem. The area around Fichtenberg and the botanical garden, considered an especially desirable neighbourhood, includes a number of Bauhaus-era luxury homes. The average rent for apartments is €6.14 per square metre.
