Wedding is not one of Berlin’s better districts for gastronomy or hip nightlife. It is, however, very close to Prenzlauer Berg and Mitte, which offer plenty of both. The area has an abundance of casual Middle Eastern fare and old-school Berlin Eckkneipen (corner pubs). A smattering of newer restaurants and bars, such as Schraders (030 4508 2663, www.schraders-berlin.de) and Jatz-Bar (030 469 0 6666, www.jatz-bar.de) centres on Nauener Platz.
