The Soldiner Kiez in Wedding is one of nine areas singled out by Berlin police as problem zones. Endemic to the area, police say, are violent skirmishes between rival drug-dealing gangs. The burglary rate is also quite high. A more minor annoyance is the traffic around Müllerstasse and Leopoldplatz, which many find loud and chaotic.
