Manhattan Beach, just south of Dockweiler, features a 928 foot pier at the end of Manhattan Beach Boulevard that offers fishing all year. At the end of the pier is Roundhouse Marine Studies Lab and Aquarium (www.roundhouseaquarium.org), which is free to the public. It includes a huge shark tank and a touch tank featuring native tide-pool flora and fauna. Also of note is the newly built Manhattan Beach Studios, which is worth a drive-by to see where they really shot The OC.
