Prime real estate and central commercial buildings are likely to have underground garages, but free parking is very limited (with the exception of some malls and hotels). Most of the time, parking won’t be that expensive and can cost around ¥10 per hour or less. Offices often supply employees with parking passes. Monthly parking in the pricier garages can reach up to ¥2,000, while other buildings will only cost a few hundred yuan.

Garages attached to office buildings generally close at the same time as the offices, so you might need special access for after-hours. Parking areas associated with retail shops will close later according to shop hours, and valet parking is sometimes available. ­­­­
