Saint-Tropez eat your heart out. During the height of the city’s annual summer exodus, a 3km stretch of the Seine’s right bank becomes Paris Plage. The sandy, palm-fringed paradise comes complete with hammocks, deckchairs and day-long activities for recharging the batteries of city-bound beach babes and stay-at-home families. In recent years, the addition of two new beaches, at the Port de la Gare and the Bassin de la Villette, has trebled the fun.
