Reiki
Reiki (pronounced ray-key) is a hands-on healing art developed in the early 1900s by Mikao Usui in Japan. The word Reiki comes from the Japanese words Rei and Ki, meaning universal life energy, and is used to describe both the energy and the Usui system of using it. The technique is based on the belief that energy can be channelled into a patient by means of touch and converted into ‘universal life force energy’, which has a healing effect.
Like meditation, Reiki can emotionally cleanse, physically invigorate and leave you more focused. You can learn the art of Reiki to practice on yourself or others, directly or remotely. Reiki master Peter Emery Langille does all levels of attunements and is available for individual appointments, classes, group sessions and distant healing work as well. You can call him on 92 605 102 for information or to make an appointment, or email him on freeman@squ.edu.om.
