The number and variety of sea creatures are incredible and the seas are pristine. You don’t need much to get into this activity: a mask, snorkel, a pair of fins to motor you along and plenty of sun protection (a rash vest is a very good investment). Most hotels or dive centres will rent out equipment, and you can buy good gear at dive shops. Costs vary greatly so shop around.
