Carpets
There are hundreds of interior shops in Tokyo, and the majority offer some form of carpeting or rugs. If you are in the market for Persian carpets, it’s best to consult the Persian Carpet Association in Japan. It can provide you with a list of reputable and knowledgeable importers and retailers that deal in authentic and quality carpets. Carpeting can be rather pricey as most houses do not have it. Area rugs and mats can be quite affordable and are more common. IKEA has some great options, as has FrancFranc and IDC. Agito has a large carpeting department specialising in avant-garde finishes, along with other fashionable household items.
