Stationery

There are an abundance of stationery shops in each area, stocking everything from basic ballpoint pens to clever staplers. Ito-ya in Ginza is a must-visit if you want something a bit classier. It carries a lovely selection of greeting cards, postcards, and Japanese paper. It also has a department for leather book covers. Meanwhile, Yuzawaya stocks all the supplies necessary to make personalised stationery. Reliable favourites Loft and Tokyu Hands can cover all your everyday needs, and they can also personalise items if required. Tokyu Hands also does nameplates and excellent business cards. Any of the above will also do custom New Year cards starting as early as late October. For stylish writing, there’s a Montblanc showroom in Ginza and for pen connoisseurs, Euro-Box is practically a museum of fine writing instruments, with many collectors’ items.
